About 2020women
2020women is an Australian feminist organisation established to promote the equality of women by recognising and celebrating women's choices and aspirations, and by sharing stories and experiences, building the capability of women to make their choices with resilience and confidence.
Our aims
- To celebrate the choices and aspirations of Australian women
- To improve the role and value of women in Australian society
- To foster goodwill and understanding amongst women, irrespective of age, race,colour or religion
- To collect and present the views of women on issues of the past, present and future affecting them
How we will achieve our aims
- By recording and making available to Australian women stories written by and about women in their own voice sharing their perspectives, wisdom and experiences
- By providing women with easy access to a consolidated reference containing contemporary women's research and information
- By documenting and sharing news and information on issues that are relevant to their stories
- By providing a forum for exchange and discussion
- By surveying women on issues affecting them

What we do
2020women is an Australian women's organisation that recognises the importance of women's experiences and aims to empower women to live out their dreams. We do this through practical means that include sharing women's stories and dreams, giving women the opportunity to voice their opinions on issues that affect them and by sharing sources of useful information.
Sharing stories and dreams
Stories reflect the diversity of women's lives and describe the challenges they face. Dreams drive change and growth and give women new ideas and a vision for what is possible.
We assist women from a wide range of backgrounds to tell their stories and dreams in their own voice. Our guided approach to sharing stories and dreams helps women share experiences that link them with other women.
Giving voice to women's opinions
Giving women the opportunity to voice their opinions on issues affecting them improves understanding of women's thinking which leads to improving the value women have in society, and which eventually improves the quality of life for some women.
We conduct surveys to provide opportunities for women to comment on issues that are fundamental to achieving a positive quality of life. Issues explored may include experiences at work, economic security and health care.
Sharing information
Access to current, accurate information that is relevant to women is essential to helping them make the best choices for their circumstances.
We give women the opportunity to share their knowledge with others about sources of information they have found useful.
